To maintain a nurturing and educational atmosphere that prepares students for higher education with the purpose of yielding successful and self-reliant adults.

Based on the founding principles of accountability and respect, Atlanta Country Day School is a private, co-educational, and college preparatory institution serving students in grades seven through twelve. Instruction is given in both traditional and nontraditional classroom settings, fostering students' academic talents and strengthening those subjects in need of improvement with the ultimate purpose of building responsible, self-reliant, and well-rounded young adults who are fully prepared for higher education and the world.

Values

  • Academic excellence
  • Integrity
  • Respect for self and others
  • Nurturing environment

Atlanta Country Day School (ACDS) has been serving metro-Atlanta for over 30 years. We serve grades 7 through 12 with small class sizes, rigorous academic course loads and a family atmosphere. ACDS provides a college preparatory education in a personal and nurturing  environment. We focus on enhancing and guiding students academically, socially, and emotionally, while preparing them to succeed in college. Our exemplary faculty and staff create an environment of academic success, personal accomplishments, and camaraderie for the students. Though our curriculum is challenging, we make education and learning interesting and exciting.

In addition to core classes, ACDS offers a wide variety of electives and incorporates SAT preparation, life skills into our academic schedule. Our academic rigor also includes Honors, and Advanced Placement classes. Our daily assessments include projects, oral presentations, field trips, and in-school homework tutorials. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities and are provided with in-school advisement and mentoring.

We cater to the individual, academic needs of each student via an initial evaluation that yields a personalized schedule. Each student's schedule is created to strengthen any weak academic areas and challenge all courses in which a student isn't knowledgable.
